Kate Krzywiec MSc BSc (Hons) MCSP HCPC

Kate qualified from Coventry University in 1999. After working in the NHS for 3 years, she specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and sports injuries treating many elite runners, triathletes, eventers and dressage riders and providing physiotherapy cover to the local rugby team.

Kate completed a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy from Cardiff University in May 2011 and was awarded silver accreditation from The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM) in January 2014.

She is registered with The AACP and is qualified to practise acupuncture for pain relief.

Kate has recently gained an Advanced Clinical Diploma in Integrated Myofascial Therapy and is now able to offer treatments in Myofascial Release.
Kate was instrumental in the development of Oaksey House, The Injured Jockeys Rehabilitation Centre which opened in April 2009 and where she worked for 7 years, before childcare commitments took priority and she settled into private practice locally at Stow Physio and The Breakspeare Clinic.

Kate has been a member of The Jockeys Injury Management Team since 2005, covering a number of racecourses across the Midlands including Cheltenham.

Kate has a wealth of experience in treating sporting injuries both due to trauma and chronic injuries. She has a special interest in Myofascial Release, which can help with TMJ and jaw pain, and adopts a holistic approach in treatment.

Outside of physiotherapy, Kate is a keen competitive distance runner competing over a variety of distances up to marathon. The rest of her spare time is spent looking after her two girls and their ponies, and supporting them in their various hobbies ranging from ballet, riding, triathlon and running.

With Kate’s constant physio, support & network of specialists to call upon, she has enabled me to push my limits safely. I am now riding again – dressage at present, swimming, skiing and running. Without Kate, my life would not have been as normal and enjoyable as it now is. A true gem!
