Paul qualified from Brunel University College (London) with a BSc. (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy in 1995.
After a short spell at the Hammersmith Hospital in London, he relocated to Gloucestershire and worked at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Swindon.
During a six-year period at Swindon he worked mainly in the musculoskeletal outpatient department treating a variety of conditions, working closely with the Orthopaedic Consultants and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
His work also involved running a physiotherapy clinic in a local General Practice.
He started working part-time at The Breakspeare Clinic in May 2000 but is now the owner of both practices. Paul now works full-time in the clinics after leaving the NHS in April 2002.
Paul also completed a Sport Science Degree in 1998 and has been able to use that knowledge to help rehabilitate clients back to normal function and sporting activity following injury. He also gained a MSc. in Exercise and Health Behaviour at City University, London.
Paul’s main professional interests are in manual therapy and sports injuries/rehabilitation. He is an member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in sports and Exercise Medicine and Physio First. He completed a course in Kinesio Therapy Tapeing in 2014 and now offers that to his clients in addition to the manual therapy he uses.
His social interests include coaching athletics (pole vaulting) and he is a qualified UKA Athletics Coach. Other interests include cycling, swimming and photography, when he has the time! Paul was an international athlete where he represented England and Great Britain at pole vaulting.
